My Cool Comic Strip l Term 2

Kia ora bloggers and welcome back to my blog,
This term for inquiry we have been focusing on our global issues, but before we got deeper into global issues we have been looking at the irony, and what kind of irony there is. The irony comes in many forms, but there are three categories that they mainly come under, Situational Irony, Dramatic Inorny and Sarcastic irony. Situational irony is the opposite of what you think will happen, for example, say someone was carrying a very large cake and trips and falls into the cake, but it turns out that he is a professional cake carrier, so you would expect him not to fall over, that is  Situational irony. Dramatic Irony is where you can see what is going to happen but the actor or person does not see it, for example, say you are watching a scary movie and you can see the villain about to jump out but the actor does not see, that is Dramatic irony. verbal irony is where you say something that is a joke, so you are being sarcastic, let's say that you are telling someone that the weather is great today, but it is actually pouring down with rain. Our Irony comic strip is based on dramatic irony, you can obviously see where boots is, but the actor does not see him. What do you think, Did you learn anything new about irony? My Awesome angles of a triangle

Kia Ora bloggers,

This week in maths we have been looking at angles and polygons. We have been determining the interior angles of shape as well as drawing some shapes using a compass- not a North/South compass, but a pair of compasses that you draw circles with. Here is a small quiz that we did to show our working.

And here are some examples of the work we have done on angles.

Anyway, that's it for this week bloggers. Have you ever drawn anything other than a circle with a compass? Here is the link to a tutorial showing you how to do it. Have a go! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lkjqf1Jzq-A&feature=emb_title
